Part of the reason I chose to travel is because I wanted to get out and meet other travel lovers who are either working in the industry and/or traveling the world like I am!

After getting in to Berlin in the afternoon, I put my backpack down and headed over to #TravelMassive Berlin Meetup, which was one of the best meetups I’d been to – and not just because there was free alcohol (JAMESON) everywhere but the event was well organized, fun, unique and full of awesome people. Enjoyed meeting a ton of interesting startups and bloggers and chatting about destinations around the world! My favorite startups to look out for are UrbanBuddy and TripCommon.

It was also awesome to see my favorite site, Metador Network’s founder, Ross, and Tumblr’s travel expert, Jeremy! Not to mention awesome bloggers Deb from ThePlanetD, Michael from ArtofBackpacking, Stephanie from Twenty-something Travel, Kate from AdventurousKate and so much more. I loved seeing people from previous events I’ve been to as well – like Dylan, the Travelling Editor!

If you get a chance, check out what Travel Massive meetups are in your city! I used to go to the one in Boston and it’s a great way to meet like-minded people who love traveling and trying new things.

Thanks to Gidsy, pocketvillage and all the other sponsors for an awesome event!

After Travel Massive, a group of us went over to the new Generator Hostel, Berlin Mitte for their opening party, #Origin. The building was still incomplete which gave an interesting vibe. I definitely loved the artwork around the hostel. Looking forward to seeing how the hostel turns out!

Loving meeting & seeing everyone at Berlin. I’ll be at a Tweetup event tonight and ITB this weekend so if you are around Berlin & love all things travel, definitely come check it out!
